Not to be confused with Will "The Fresh Prince" Smith's more well-known DJ partner of the same name, rapper Jazzy Jeff left the Funky Four for a short-lived solo career in the mid-'80s. His only album, On Fire (1985), was notable for its intelligent lyrics and lack of over-the-top machismo.
